Eshe
A SMALL INDEPENDENT DRAMA. WITH LAUGHS. Eshe is nine. She lives in a small village in the jungle. Her mother left months ago to go to the States to find a better life for them, but she never called for Eshe. Worried, Eshe seeks the help of a shaman. The old woman claims she can send Eshe across the oceans. Eshe awakens from the ceremony in the body of a nine year-old white girl drowning in a canal in suburban Forth Worth. In her new form, she will search for her mother as she peels away the mysteries and sorrows of a family that has everything. If she survives in this baffling world (she is stunned to discover that all those cans in the grocery are filled with food made for dogs and cats and not of them), Eshe will have to chose between the family she needed and the family who needs her. |
